LEXINGTON – JoAnn Jeffcoat Boone, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and best friend Monday, July 29, 2019. Memorial services will be Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Red Bank Baptist Church in Lexington, SC at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m.
Born in North, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Ann Lou Harley Jeffcoat. Surviving are her children, Jimmy Boone (Sarah), Ann Sharpe (Beau Dixon), Patricia Hammons (Jasen), Clark Boone (Sandra); 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Also, one sister, Rebecca Calvitt; brother-in-law, Jerry Boone (Shirley), sisters-in-law, Sarah Roof and Catherine Looper, numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.
Mom cherished her family, church family, cooking, making pound cakes for friends, quilting and crafting. She will truly be missed. Her smile would light up a room!
The family would like to thank Compassionate Care nurses Brandi, Kim, Tiffany, and Brooke. Also, Dr. Terrence Day and staff and Julie Blaire at MUSC, Dr. James Leroy Wells of Lexington Oncology, who kept our mother here for so many years!
