Luis Anibal Andrade-Montoya who first entered this world on September 18, 1931 in city of Quito, Ecuador has passed on to join in communion with his Lord Jesus Christ on July 30, 2019.
Luis immigrated to the United States with the aid of his sponsor, Irma Wassall. He eventually became a citizen of the United States and enlisted in the United States Army. He remained an active member of the US Army through 1981 when he received his honorable discharge. Around 1960, Luis met Paula Theresa Habiger whom he married on August 25, 1962. Luis attended Wichita State University and received a Master’s Degree in Spanish. Luis utilized his knowledge and love of the Spanish language by teaching classes at WSU and community colleges. He also utilized his skills in the language during his thirty-five year career with the former Beech Aircraft Company and Raytheon Aircraft Company in the technical publications department.
Luis is preceded by his father, mother and brother from Ecuador, his wife of forty-six years Paula T. Andrade.
Luis survived by his sister Alicia Andrade-Montoya of Ecuador, his son John L. Andrade, his daughter Maria T. Andrade and his daughter Patricia A. Andrade-Canedy and husband David.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his memory.
