William "Bill" Edward Adam, age 90, of Daytona Beach, Florida entered eternal rest on Saturday May 25, 2019. "Bill" was born November 15, 1928 in Reading, PA to the late Charles E. Adam and Dorothy J. Adam.
His spirit is carried on by his daughter Sherry Birch and her husband Tim, of Edgewater, FL; son Eric Adam and his wife Kelly, of Harrison City, PA; seven grandchildren, Devon Smith, Calvin Smith, Levi Smith, Tyler Adam, Ryan Birch, Isabella Adam and Annalise Adam. He will also be fondly remembered by his five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bill was greeted in heaven by his loving wife Patricia (Bice) Adam and sister Barbara Ford.
Bill served proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II and during the Korean conflict. He specialized in submarines and his most significant duty was on the U.S.S Cutlass as an engineer. He even was awarded a lifetime membership from the U.S. submarine veterans for his years of honorable and faithful service in the U.S Navy and the submarine force, an accolade he was very honored to receive.
Bill was a dedicated and loving husband to his wife Patricia for 54 years and absolutely treasured time with his loving family. He enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling and fishing. He was also a very active member and president of the Reading base U.S. submarine veterans.
A celebration of life for "Bill" will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM at Aumans Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd, Reiffton, Pennsylvania 19606. Following the a celebration of life will be a graveside committal at 11:00 AM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink rd., Reading, PA 19606.
