Born in Haiti on May 8th, 1937, Rosette immigrated to the United States in 1968, where she worked in the hotel industry as a maid and eventually became a floor supervisor.
As a mother to her boys as well as a provider for many family members and friends, she was a nurturing and kind soul with an incredible sense of humor. Active and always on-the-go, Rosette carried an energy that was contagious. She was loyal and always there for her family, religious and devoted to the Church. She was the foundation and resilience that built this family.
She was married to Hughes Sabbat January 1st, 1968 where they later divorced in
1989. Rosette is survived by her sons Lexces Ulysse, Clark Sabbat,
Fritzgerald Sabbat and Dimitri Branchet.
She is also survived by her sisters Marie Bernard, Florein Bernard, Jeanette Bernard and Bernadette Bernard.
Rosette was a grandmother to Bernard Ulysse, Luka Sabbat, Richard Ulysse and Callum Sabbat, aunt to Ricardo Bernard, Douglas Joseph, Jean Bernard Joseph, Stanley Joseph, Ralph Louis, Darlene Louis, Beatrice Similien, Gayenne Similien, Jean Similien, Farah Bernard, Jessica Bernard, Sabine Bernard, Dominique Ulysse and Fabien Bernard and cousins with Myrtha Villarson and Mildred Villarson
As a large family filled with love and unity we are grateful and blessed to those mentioned and not mentioned for all the support and good times we have been able to share over the course of our years with Rosette Sabbat.
