Born August 25,1924 in Jasper, Indiana, Ardella met the love of her life, Willie Chester “Chet” Head, Jr. in the Spring of 1945 and married him on New Year’s Eve that same year.
As a career Air Force family, the Heads traveled to Mississippi, Hawaii, Texas, Wyoming, Buenos Aries, Argentina and eventually settled in Fairfax, Virginia, raising four children.
Ardella was predeceased by her husband, Chet in 1996, her daughter, Glenda, in 1973 and her son Brian, in 1999.
Surviving are her sons, Jeff and Steven, her daughter-in-law, Lorene Head, grandchildren, Austin and Beth, and great-grandchild, Mia.
A small private ceremony will be held Friday August 9th, at 10:30 at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax, Virginia.
