A resident of Hillsboro Shores in Pompano Beach since 1964, she was born in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Quinby Sturges and Rose Luby Sturges. Ann attended Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio, and was a 1953 graduate of Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio.
Predeceased by her husband Robert Lee Yinger, Ann is survived by her children Susan Yinger of Pompano Beach, Stephen Yinger of Palm Springs, California, Robert Yinger, Jr. of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, and her granddaughter Liv Yinger, also of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Sturges of Columbus, Ohio, sister-in-law Linda Sturges of Bay Village, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was a teacher for many years at public schools in Ohio and Florida, before joining the staff at Christ Church School in Fort Lauderdale where she taught 4-year-olds for more than thirty years. She attended Saint Gabriel Catholic Church in Pompano Beach, and was a longtime member of The Hillsboro Club in Hillsboro Beach.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00 at the Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Ann's funeral service will commence on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11:00 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
