Born on the prairies, Emile’s family moved to Vancouver Island when he was very young where he made many happy memories playing on the beach in Oyster Bay. During his school years, Emile’s family moved to Port Alberni where he grew up and graduated out of the local school system. He went to work for the Paper Mill where he was employed for over 40 years. Emile was a social person and over the years enjoyed being involved in the Alberni Golf Course and coaching community football. Also, Emile has fond memories of being an Idlers Car Club member. He had a sense of humour and liked to kid and joke with those he enjoyed. Emile was a devoted father and spent much time camping, skiing with many friends and family members.
A Celebration of Emile’s Life will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from the Alberni Golf Course, 6449 Cherry Creek Road, Port Alberni. Stories, condolences and messages may be forwarded to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca
