The man, the myth, the legend, Danny W. Davis (aka Dad, Poppy, Granddaddy, Guggles) was born in New Orleans, LA on July 9, 1957 and joined our Heavenly Father while in San Antonio, TX on August 8, 2019.
If we could only use one word to describe Danny, it would be love. He loved God, his family, and life. He continually smiled as if nothing was ever wrong. He had a heart of gold and adored his family. Danny was loved by all who knew him.
Danny spent countless hours searching for the perfect proverb, bible verse, or famous saying to pass on to his children and grandchildren. He knew they stopped reading them, but it made him feel good that at least they thought about him when they opened their email or saw the text.
He loved to coach. All three children were blessed with his ability and drive. He continued to coach from the stands with his oldest grandson in baseball. He loved to see them all succeed on the playing field and in life.
His dogs, Mocha, Midnight, Cooper, and grand dogs Lexus, and Lieutenant, brought him such joy.
Danny adored his wife, Michele, who he met while they were attending the University of Houston. There wasn't a day that went by that he wasn't complimenting her and reminding Michele how much he loved her. He enjoyed going to the casino, UH sporting events, and traveling with her. It was always an adventure when they were together.
Danny is survived by his best friend and wife of 38 years, Michele, daughter Heather, son Timothy and wife Allison, daughter Meredith, and 4 precious grandchildren, Jason, Kristen, Berkeley, and Mick.
He will be dearly missed but we know we will see him in time.
