Neade Brady, Jr., a lifelong resident of Columbia, MS, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the age of 96. Mr. Brady was a U.S. Army veteran who served our country during WWII and received a Purple Heart for his injuries sustained in combat. He was preceded in death by his wives, Myrtis Brady and Vera Brady; two sisters, Naomi Stoll and Beatie Rogers; and a brother, Tom Brady. Mr. Brady is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Ward and her husband, Lonnie; a son, Kevin Brady and his wife, Cindy; a sister, Dorothy Stogner and her husband, Charles; a brother, Charles Brady and his wife, Brenda; three grandchildren, Blake Austin, Mason Brady and Conner Brady and two step-grandchildren, Lon Ward and his wife, Shonna and Leigh Ward; three great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation for Mr. Brady from 1:30pm until 2:30pm on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. A procession will leave the funeral home at 2:45pm going to Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia for a 3:00pm graveside service officiated by Reverend Mernice Griner. Blake Austin, Mason Brady, Conner Brady, Lon Ward, Tommy Ward, and Jerry Ward will be assisting as pallbearers.
