Passed away peacefully on August 9, 2019 of natural causes.
Preceded in death by parents Arthur & Elsie Petrich and sister, Beverly Madden. Survived by wife of 66 years Lorraine (Lorrie); children: son David (Linda) Petrich, daughters Cheryl (Jeff) Colbath and Karen (Carl) Kacures; grandchildren: Angie (Chuck) Kacures, Justin (Stephanie) Colbath, Sarah (Mark) Petrich, Stacy (Bill) Brown, Leah Colbath, Nathan and Anne Petrich; great-grandchildren: Bradley & Joey Thuftedal, Jaiden & Tristan Colbath, Amaya Colbath, Samantha Kacures; and many other family and friends.
Bob proudly served in the navy in the Korean War and could always be found flying our nation’s flag. After 44 years, Bob retired from Liquid Scale Gauge. Bob enjoyed traveling all over with his wife Lorrie and wintering in Arizona for several years. They also greatly enjoyed their home on Pike Lake, where they famously hosted their annual 4th of July party filled with swimming, boating, jet skiing, volleyball and lots of food and good company. Special thanks to the staff on 7West at North Memorial.
The funeral service will be held Sunday August 18th at 1pm at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Drive, Mounds View with luncheon to follow. Visitation 1 hour prior. Interment Monday August 19th 2pm Sunset Cemetery 2250 St. Anthony Blvd., NE, Minneapolis.
