Kenneth Allan Maki, age 75, of Tigard, Oregon passed away on August 12, 2019. He was born December 26, 1943 in Duluth, Minnesota to Walter and Mae Maki. Ken was one of three children. He graduated from Benson High School in Portland in 1961. Ken went on to be a successful contractor.
Ken was in the Sea Scouts in his younger days. He was in the Air Force Reserves during the Vietnam War. Ken built race cars for drag racing although was not the driver. He used to have many trophies from his endeavors.
Ken is survived by his children Tammy Collins and Duane Collins; grandchildren Tia Collins and Tyler Collins; and siblings Jeffrey Maki and Kathleen Patokoski-Homes.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Valley Hope Community Church; 2233 E Main St., Hillsboro, OR 97123.
