On August 12th in his 73rd year at Macassa Lodge Jack died peacefully. Predeceased by his parents Jack (1999) and Eva (2012). Loving brother of Patricia Wheaton and her husband Peter. Dearest uncle of Paul Wheaton and his wife Caitlyn Milot and Sarah Wheaton and her husband Christopher Snowdon. Prior to his stay at Macassa Jack was active in the Hamilton Community. He was a long-time client of Community Living Hamilton. He enjoyed bowling and participated in activities organized by Special Olympics Ontario. He loved to attend sporting events especially the Hamilton Bulldogs and Hamilton Tiger Cats. Through Community Living he enjoyed employment at Sir Winston Churchill and St. Thomas More High schools. His work assisting in the special education departments of those schools was very fulfilling. At St. Thomas More he liked to help with the football teams.Thank you to coach Silvestri for always making Jack feel he was part of the coaching team. A very heartfelt thank you to the staff of D- Wing at Macassa Lodge. Jack lived there almost 6 years and was always treated with the utmost respect, care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Sunday, August 18th from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the chapel. A reception will follow.
