He was born on January 31, 1944 in Springfield, the son of the late Robert and Francis (Holmgren) Howlett. He married Paricia Suter and she preceded him in death. He later married Audrey Winkler and they divorced. He then married Jamie Carnduff on September 28, 2013 in Springfield and she survives.
Victor worked as a mechanic for Lauterbach Tire and Auto in Springfield. He previously had worked for Montgomery Ward and Goodyear. He loved working in his yard and singing karaoke.
Besides his wife Jamie, he is survived by his children, Bobbie Ann Brandon of Springfield, Victor K. Howlett of Renick, MO, and Kevin (Cindy) Howlett of Macon, MO; step-children, Ronnie (Casey) Boggs of Sherman, IL, Tim Boggs of Springfield, and Kristy (Luke) Giacomini of Springfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister Sunday Jackson of Texas.
Besides his parents and his 1st wife Patricia, he was preceded in death by a brother Ray Kirkpatrick.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the VFW on Stockyard Rd. in Springfield from 1 to 7 pm.
