Robert W. Kidder, 88, of Clinton, passed away on August 20, 2019. Born to Roy Kidder and Mary Landry on July 12, 1931, Robert grew up in the city of Hartford C.T. and was a long time resident of Clinton. He was athletic in high school, served some time in the military, graduated from UCONN, began a career in the insurance business and retired as so, he had a house built in the wooded shoreline area, to raise his new son and a place for his parents to retire as well. This is where he became involved with stone wall rebuilding and building, on his new property, and landscaping, and later on planting trees with his son, he loved working in his yard on his free time. He would also enjoy watching sports and he and his dad would follow the scores, often before it was time for his parents to pass, and finally, had 20 years of retirement, with help of his son to enjoy the property he had worked on earlier years. He enjoyed being member of the local VFWs and Elks. Robert was also a dedicated father to his son, Bob.
Robert is predeceased by his parents.
Robert will be greatly missed by his son, Bob Kidder, of Clinton, CT.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2pm at Resurrection Cemetery, located on Horse Hill Road in Westbrook.
