Noel Faux, 85, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by his wife, Ah-lan Faux, 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Noel was born in Peoria, Illinois in 1933. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He became a pilot during his tour and was stationed near Taiwan and the Philippines. After his service to his country ended, he rejoined Caterpillar, Inc. and worked his way from blue-collar to white-collar before retiring and becoming a permanent resident of Las Vegas. Unwilling to stay retired, he took over and then sold a successful drafting company, and unretired again to work on electronic machines.
Noel enjoyed music, playing the saxophone and dancing. Noel was a kind man and if he had any fault, it was him being overly generous to family, friends, and strangers. As a people person, his genial manner allowed him to easily chat and bond with those people he came across.
At Noel’s request, his family will have a small private ceremony to honor his life and remember the good times. He will be dearly missed by all, but never forgotten.
