It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, son, brother, shoomis, and friend, Frederick Charles Mandamin, who was also know by his traditional name of Miziin-Kin-Na-Ga-Nun from the Nii-may (Sturgeon) Clan.
Fred is predeceased by his father Robert Quewezance, mother Doris Mandamin, sister Mable M., Rebecca, uncles Archie Q., John Q., Frederick M., grandparents Joe Mandamin Sr., Matilda Mandamin, nephew Shelden, nieces Farrah and Evannah, and two unborn grandchildren.
He leaves to mourn his beautiful daughters, Jolene (Jerry), Taylor (Derrick), Liale (Charles), and Rania. Handsome sons, Dale (Karen, aka muskrat), Tyler, and JR. Sisters, Phylis (Alfred) Roberta (Tim). Brothers, Wayne (Margaret), Floyd (Charlene) and Darlene, Leonard (Donna). Uncles, Joe, and Ronnie. Aunty’s, Gladys, Josie, Christine, Cathy, Susie. Grandchildren, Joelynn (Mauricio Sr.), Anna, Jessie, Sadie, Ethan, Shaylynn, Starla, Veda, Gage, Miley. Great-grandchildren, Mayela, Kiana, Parker, and Romeo. And many more family and friends.
Fred enjoyed fishing derby’s with Eda, ice fishing, hunting with his grandchildren and friends, playing bingo, driving rock trucks, and watching sports. He will be missed greatly by his buddy's Rocky Bunting, Leonard Fisher and friends he made over the years at Halley's Camp.
Fred will be laid to rest by his loving wife Deborah Scott. The family would like to say miigwetch to TT3, EMS, and Gabriel Mandamin for all their help. A Celebration of Life will be held in the gym at the school on September 6, 2019, at 1pm.
Burial service will take place at Wabaseemoong First Nation Cemetery on September 8, 2019, at 11am. Officiating traditional ceremony is Ron Indian-Mandamin.
