Laurel Ann (Carboni) Care

Laurel Ann Care, age 79, of Tampa died on September 5 2019, after medical complications of an illness. Laurel was born in New Haven Connecticut on October 21, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Levant and Edith (Zandri) Carboni. She was a devoted and loving wife of the late Richard Leslie Care JR and mother of Andrew L Care, Richard L Care III, Leslie A Care-Kaefer and Lawrence M Care. Grandmother to Stefanie Care-Auger, Jeffrey Care and Scott Kaefer II. She grew up in New Haven and graduated from James Hillhouse High School, an alumnus of Bryant College and a member of the Alpha Theta Chi fraternity. Laurel was employed by Hillsborough County schools district at Bellamy elementary school for over 26 years in various capacities ending as cafeteria manager. Throughout her life, Laurel was a hardworking and caring person and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, reading romance novels, watching old Dr. Paul Bearer creature feature on TV, shopping and spending time with her beloved cat Lilly. She is survived by her brother Edward Carboni of West Haven Connecticut. The service will take place September 13 from 3-4:30pm at Turner Funeral home in Spring Hill, Fl. With a private burial at a later date.
