Roberta Lou Banner, 81, passed away September 8, 2019 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Born October 13, 1937 in Arcadia, Kansas, she was the daughter of Everett Allen Lewis and Verna Lou (Sweeten) Lewis. Roberta was a longtime airplane transmission mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base. She loved animals of all kinds, dogs, cats, and birds as well as gardening and growing vegetables. Preceding her in death were her parents, Everett and Verna Lewis, Larry Banner, Leonard Escobar, and Jesse McCracken. Survivors include one daughter, Teresa and her husband Charlie Turner of Spencer, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Joshua Kelley of California, and Nicole Kelley of Oklahoma, and two great-grandchildren, Darian Howard and Xavier Hendricks. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Kolb Cemetery, NE 36th and Midwest Blvd., Spencer, OK 73084.
