Georgia Woodrow Simmons of Norman passed away September 9, 2019 at the age of 99. She was born at home on January 18, 1920 in Noble, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George and Mamie Woodrow. In 1940 Georgia married Justin Rider who went on to serve his country in the United States Army. On February 17, 1944 in Italy Justin gave his life serving his country. Georgia then married Lloyd Eugene Rumfelt and from this marriage was born two children. Later in life she married J.M. Simmons who proceeded her in death. She is also proceeded in death by her husbands, parents, and four sisters; Lola Doussett, Lucy Woodring, Muriel Wilson and Mildred Milaneste. She is survived by her two children, Connie Jones and her husband Wallace of Montgomery, AL and Bobby Rumfelt of Oklahoma City, one grandson Jason and his wife Brooke of Colorado as well as two great grandchildren and many friends. A visitation for Georgia will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursday at the Primrose Funeral Service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 13, 2019 in the Fairview Maguire Cemetery in Noble.
