A 1953 graduate of Turkey Creek High School, Loris went on to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree from Florida Southern University. He taught for many years for the Hillsborough County School District, but his real love was his missionary work. He was an Assembly of God missionary serving in many places including Jamaica, Belize, and Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Elaine Johnson just last year. Survivors include one brother Joe Johnson; four children, Amelia Stone (Roger), Lorrie Wright (Lorinda), Julie Beam (Michael), and Carlos Baki (Doreen); 10 grandchildren, Bobby, Jennifer, Carrie, Benjamin, Dianna, Rebekah, Jonathon, Amber, Maya, and Kristen; and 16 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Wells Memorial and Event Center, 1903 W. Reynolds St., Plant City, Florida. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
