Elba and Miguel married in their homeland in 1957 and shared 62 beautiful years together. In 1964, they left their homeland with their first-born Maggie. They sought residence in Chicago alongside many family members and friends and began their pursuit of the American Dream. Elba and Miguel bore their second daughter, Annie and their final addition Michael Ferrer while living in Chicago. Elba and Miguel loved and missed their beautiful homelands’ climate and made the move to Tampa, Florida in 1973.

Her home was always opened to family and friends. As soon as you walked in the door she asked you if you wanted café con leche. She had a very special personality complimented with a unique sense of humor. Elba and Miguel loved dancing and there was always music playing in the house. They enjoyed their, home, kids and helping raise their grandchildren.
