Willa Deane Chambers Huling, born January 30, 1948, and received the promise of eternal peace on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Willa was born in Kaufman, Texas, to Lura Grant Chambers and Reble Ovida Heard Beaver. Willa was married to Donald Huling on May 20, 1967 in Dallas, Texas and resided in Carrollton, Texas where they raised their four children. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Willa will be remembered for her compassion for others, love of gardening, cooking, and sewing. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always enjoyed fishing at Cedar Creek Lake with her mom, aunts, sister and cousins. She had a passion for helping and serving others. She served as the president of the Carrollton Youth Football Association, secretary of the Carrollton Little League Baseball Association, treasure of the Wrangler Drill Team and was a lifetime member of the Texas PTA.
Willa is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald Huling; three of her four children, W. Annette Tyler, Tina Gates, and Gary Huling; six grandchildren, Jessica Chambers, Brittany Bowman, Nicole Pecina, Michael Felts, Samantha Whitehead, and Matthew Gates; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jett; brother, Raymond Chambers and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Huling II in 1991.
A memorial service will be held at the Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
