She directed the Jersey Shores and Jersey Sound chapter between 1970 and 1992 and was a member of the Heart of Daytona and Sound of Sunshine Choruses from 1992 into the early 2000's. Mom also loved gospel music as well as music theater.
Mom lived her life with a sense of humor and with that will bring a smile to the face of all who remember her. She was always trying to lift the spirits of her friends and family. Mom would want to be remembered most for being a loving and caring person who did her best to put others before herself.
Mom was always learning something. Usually for a new career move but sometimes just for something as simple as a greener garden or to identify the birds in her backyard, mom was also supportive of my efforts in pursuing several degrees as well as encouraging of my wife in her efforts to complete her own. She held high standards for me and did her best to enable me meeting them.
Mom is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Gary of Port Orange, FL., Son Michael and his Wife Amy of Rockton, Illinois. Granddaughters Josephine, Ella and Katherine as well as her Brother Robert Maritz and his family of Tom River, NJ.
