Sandra Elizabeth Seyfer (76) passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas of complications from surgery. She was the daughter of Robert P. Seyfer, Jr. and Teresa Ortiz Seyfer (both deceased) and was born in Houston, Texas on November 29, 1942.
Sandy married Richard Pitts, a lifelong Little Rock resident, in 1964 and he predeceased her in 1998.
Sandy was universally loved by all and obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing degree before working at the Fort Roots Veterans Administration Hospital and at other medical clinics in the Little Rock Area over the last several decades.
She especially loved her cats and kittens and also actively participated in Catholic senior activities with her many friends – including exercise sessions, bingo, and dining out. She will be missed by all.
A devout Catholic, she attended Immaculate Conception School (Ft. Smith, AR) and Holy Souls School (Little Rock, AR), graduating from Mount St. Mary’s Academy in Little Rock in 1961. She was active at Holy Souls and Christ the King parishes and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Souls Church.
She is survived by her sister Maria Tebbetts, MD (wife of now deceased John Tebbetts) of Little Rock, her brother Alan Seyfer, MD and wife Glenna of San Antonio, TX; Nieces Tara Plymouth (husband Joseph) of Philadelphia and Jessie Seyfer-Chorney (husband Jeffry) of Alameda, CA; and grand nieces Ruby Chorney and Sasha Chorney of Alameda, CA.
A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled at the Holy Souls Church on December 17, 2019 at 10AM, followed by columbarium interment at Holy Souls. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to the Salvation Army.
