Glenn E. Danely

Born in Enid, OK, he graduated from Enid High School and joined the Marines in 1944. He served in the Pacific and Japan in WWII, and returned to Enid where he met his wife Joan. They enjoyed 71 years together raising 4 daughters, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Glenn was a creative man of many talents. His career spanned the early days of television, working as a technician and then as broadcast and chief engineer for Channel 5 in Enid and OKC, Channel 9, and then education channel 25 for OKC Public Schools. Leaving TV he established Danely Painting Inc., retiring after 25 years.

Glenn is survived by his wife Joan, and daughters Patsy Burleigh (David) of Enid, Kaye Wilson of Bethany, and July McAfee (Rob) of OKC. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter Peggy Hawkins (Earl).

Glenn was a faithful church member, serving in several volunteer areas. He will be greatly missed by his family, church, and many friends.
