Byers Clayton Clark, age 91, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019. He was born in Greeley on April 24, 1928 to James Winton and Ethel Olivea (Nordell) Clark. He was married to Charolette Jean (Morrison) Clark July 8, 1950 in Greeley, Colorado.
Byers was born in Greeley, attended school in Pierce, Colorado and farmed with his father until he was married. He and Charlotte had a small family wedding at the home of Robert Stewart. They moved to a farm northeast of Greeley in 1950, purchased it a few years later and lived there until they retired in 2000, then moved to Yuma, Arizona.
Byers was a member of the Church of Christ in both Greeley and Yuma.
Byers is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jean Clark of Yuma, Arizona, daughter Colleen (Steven) Nealy of Eaton, sons, Ken (Kris) Clark of Eaton, James Clark and significant other Lisa Holt of Pueblo, Colorado, and Chuck (Vickie) Clark of Yuma Arizona. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by five brothers, Carroll Winton, James Sherrill, Windell Eugene, Neal Arthur, and Clarence Curtis, and one grandchild Travis Winton.
Visitation Friday, October 4, 2019 from 9:00-10:30 am followed by a service at 10:30 am both at Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6512 W 20th St, Greeley, CO 80634. Interment at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave, Greeley, CO 80631. Following the committal, a Gathering for family and friends at West View Church of Christ, 4151 20th St, Greeley, CO 80634.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to MDS Foundation in memory of Byers Clark in care of Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street Greeley, CO 80634.
