Tom was born January 10, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA. He is preceded in death by parents Richard C. And Rachael Craig Love, siblings Richard Craig Love and Harriet Wilson, and great-granddaughter Maya Kaylin Foster.
Tom is survived by his wife of 29 years “Maggie”, daughter Christine Gill (Tonia Brown), siblings Nancy Arnold and Doug Love, granddaughters Brittanie Saxon and Jessica Ortega-Rocha (Pablo), great grandchildren Antwain Saxon, and Luis and Rosanna Ortega-Rocha.
Additional survivors include beloved Nieces and Nephews Jennifer, Heather, Megan, Zach, Rebecca, Miriam, Adam, Jonathan, Derrick, Elisa, Patrick, and numerous great-nieces/nephews.
Tom was a graduate of Hiwassee College and The University of Tennessee. He retired from TN Department of Transportation where he served as an Environmental Planner.
Tom was sweet and smart and funny and strong and loyal and loving and quirky and mischievous...all the things that make a deliciously wonderful human being. He loved his family, his dogs, his garden and his TV. Among his happiest moments were time spent on the golf course.
Tom was beloved by all those who became entwined in his life, and will be deeply missed.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, October 5 at Hermitage Memorial Gardens 12-2, followed by a graveside service.
