After retiring from Delta Airlines as a Flight Attendant Eleanor became a member of the Spruce Creek Flying Circle, the 993 International organization of Honor Pilots, and the tennis team at Racquet Tennis Club of New Smyrna Beach, FL. She loved to play tennis, traveling, motor cycling with Spruce Creek groups, helping her friends and neighbors and her family. Her love of animals, especially cats and dogs brought so much joy to her life. It is her love of animals that inspired her to start her own animal sitting business. Life taught Eleanor that laughter is important and the best medicine.
Predeceased by her parents Robert L. Doble and Evelyn Burke Doble, sister Beverly Alley and her brother Robert Doble. Eleanor is survived by her sisters Rita (Roy) Eaton and Judith (Gerald) Gregg; and many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor (Doble) Champlain leaves a legacy of love. She cared very deeply for other people, and be credited with connecting those around her together.
