They mostly played classic American rock, Motown and R&B songs of the 70’s. In the early 1980’s she worked at the prestigious Radisson Muehlebach Hotel in downtown Kansas City as the Reservations Manager to over 780 rooms. Her work ethic and an attention to detail earned her several Employee of the Year awards at the Radisson. Later she worked at Tanquary & Associates in downtown Kansas City for two decades; handling the office, sales, and all aspects of the Screen Printing business. For the past fourteen years she has worked for Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS). Ann enjoyed working at Benjamin Banneker, with the most recent nine years at Foreign Language Academy under the direction of Dr. Joell Ramsdell. Ann spoke several languages fluently, Thai and English, but also could understand and speak Spanish and Italian as well.
Anongkana loved to cook Thai food and visit the many different Thai restaurants located throughout the country. She enjoyed cooking for her family and helping her granddaughter, Jordan with homework. Ann often donated items to help others in need and loved being around children. Sometimes, she walked around the house singing Greatest Love of All. Ann truly loved and cared for anyone she came in contact with. Always a jokester, she relished a good hearty laugh. Her smile would instantly light up any room with humor and laughter. Anongkana was a spiritual person who believed in God and the Bible.
