Sharian Lee Thorfinson was born August 24th, 1941, in Denver, CO to Haskell and Alta Mae Webb (Oleson). Surrounded by siblings Delores, Marvin, Eugene, and Richard, they grew up on West Virginia Avenue. Eventually, her father was able to buy a new home in Perl Mack off 71st and Sante Fe. It was in this neighborhood where she would meet the love of her life. As she and a friend walked down the street, they noticed a handsome young man in his driveway. Thinking quick on her feet, she asked a 16-year-old Marlowe if he had seen her missing dog. The thing was, she had no dog. The rest, as they say, is history. After getting married, they went on to make their own home and family. Living in many homes from Hudson to Westminster, they eventually settled in their forever home in 1969. Every 6 years, they were blessed with another child. First, Becky then Mike and then their baby Tawnya.
Sharian worked as a cashier for the phone company until marriage, where she spent her years' homemaking for her family. She always kept a clean and beautiful home. Her talents seemed endless. Her love of décor and crafting made her home a prize to all that visited. Her flower gardens filled the yard with tulips, lilacs, and Hibiscus. An avid seamstress, she showed off her skills, making Marlowe his western work shirts, Mike his BMX racing pants, and the occasional Halloween costume. An artist, Sharian's hobbies also included ceramics and stained glass and tole painting. Her home was always filled with adornments that held her personalized touches. She loved music, too, and grew up playing various instruments. From the accordion to the banjo, the organ as well as guitar she couldn't read music, so she played by ear. She enjoyed many years owning a baby grand piano where she'd sit with her grand-daughters and play.
In the late '80s, she began work outside of the home as a cake decorator with Albertson's Grocer. Her artistic talents seemed endless. Everything she touched, she brought beauty to this world.
Her family will cherish so many memories. Their love of her homemade chocolate cake is always a first memory topic, and her holiday fudge was also a few could match.
She made sure that her children all knew how to take care of their homes and their loved ones. Teaching all to cook, sew, and create. If something needed to be fixed, she wasn't afraid to dive in and attempt it.
Her blessings in life multiplied with the births of her 5 superstar grand-daughters. Grandma's five angels: Randi, Shelby, Sammi, Alex, and Megan. She made sure that those girls had a magical home to share Christmas in. The entire house would be transformed with a large beautiful tree and figurines throughout, most of which she'd painted herself.
Sharian is preceded in death by her parents: Haskell and Alta Mae Webb, Step-Father Lavern Williams, Brothers Marvin (Gayle) Webb, Eugene (Shiben) Webb, Niece Doreen Jones. She is survived by her husband Marlowe, Daughter Rebecca (Steve) Vonfeldt, Son Michael, Daughter Tawnya (Kevin) Bennett, Daughter in Law Pamela (Ringler). Grand-daughters Randi (Zach) Bazylak, Samantha and Alexandra Thorfinson, Shelby and Megan Bennett, Sister Delores (Charles) Champion, Brother Richard (Ivy) Webb.
