Kenneth was born on December 18, 1961 in Killeen, Texas to parents Samuel Harrison and Lillie Irene (McCarter) Lynn and entered into eternal rest on October 1, 2019 at the age of 57. He graduated from Forrest Park High School in Beaumont, Texas. Kenneth worked as a Deputy for the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office for many years. He later became the owner/operator of the Sonic in Gun Barrel City and then going to work in maintenance for Mabank ISD. Kenneth was always involved in his community. He served as a volunteer for Gun Barrel City Fire Dept., Chaplain with the Texas Youth Commission, as well as a prison Chaplain. Kenneth attended East Texas Tres Dias #2 in the spring of 2000 and became a lifelong member. He was also a founding member of Trinity Valley Tres Dias community. Kenneth was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and this is where his ministry as a Chaplain began. He enjoyed working on computers, fishing and making walking canes for the Lord’s Acre Harvest. Kenneth was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He also worked with the kids of First Assembly of God Church in Gun Barrel City with the Royal Rangers program. He was an amazing man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kenneth was met at the gates of Heaven by his parents, older brother (infant), father-in-law Andy Jones and two grandchildren (infants).
He is survived by his wife Susie Lynn of Mabank, children; Mary Ligon Lynn McDaniel and fiancé William Rose of Mabank, Andy Paul Lynn of Athens, Joel Allen Lynn and wife Shelby of Lubbock, Melody Anne Lynn and fiancé Vincent Dixson of Mabank, grandchildren; Marissa McDaniel, James McDaniel, Elijah Rose, Toriana Rose, Lilly Lynn, Cody Lynn and Vincent Wayne Dixson, brothers; James Lynn and wife Kathy of Payne Springs, Randy Lynn and wife Vicki of Lumberton, best friend Don Roe and wife Diana of Gun Barrel City, former son-in-law James McDaniel of Mabank, mother-in-law Maudie Jones of Mabank, several children he adopted in his heart, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
