Emma Lou Miller, a lifelong resident of Marion County, Mississippi, went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 4, 2019, at the age of 88. Mrs. Miller supported her husband as he pastored numerous churches for 69 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. Mrs. Miller will be remembered for her devotion to the Church and love of music as she shared her talents singing and playing the organ. She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Reverend Joe N. Miller; three sisters and one brother. Mrs. Miller is survived by a daughter, Gayla Bryant and her husband, Mitchell; two sons, David Miller and his wife, Karen, and Robert Miller and his wife, Margaret; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. There will be visitation at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 6, 2019 in the funeral home chapel officiated by Doctor Daniel Smith and Reverend Oved Dunaway. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Church of God Cemetery assisted by Jody Miller, Doug Miller, Drew Stringer, Lee Stringer, Ty Stringer, and Brent Morgan serving as pallbearers.
