He was born November 2, 1947 to Alvin Fulton King, Sr. and Mildred Anne Spooner King in El Dorado, AR. He worked for Georgia Pacific as an operator and was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Shirley King of Crossett; two sons, Jeff King of Pensacola, FL, Wes King of Crossett; a daughter, Sherry Harris of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Mallary Hammonds, Drake Harris, Dayna King and Brooklyn Pepper; six great grandchildren, Brennon Allison, Elynie Allison, Raylan Dye, Carson Hammonds, Elijah Pepper, and Alayna Pepper; and two brothers, Sam King (Karen) and Terry King (Jamie) both of California.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Young's Chapel. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
