Melvin E. Pike, age 88 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. Melvin was born on October 23, 1930 in New Miami, the son of the late Earl and Lucille (Rose) Pike. Melvin was employed at Fernald, Bilcon Construction, Owner and President of Mel Pike Construction and Field Engineer at Steed Hammond and Paul Architects. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. On December 18, 1954 he married Geraldine “Gerri” Begley. He loved being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping or just spending time with his family. Melvin is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gerri Pike; four children, Kim (Robert) Wyatt, Scott (Goldie) Pike, Traci (Rick) Anderson and Kevin (Jamie) Pike; nine grandchildren, Mitch Wyatt, Corey (Katherine) Wyatt, Tim Wyatt, Amanda Pike, Nicole (Tom) Ciresi, Stephanie (Derrick) Lambdin, Stacie (Tyler) Nichols, Taylor Pike and Spencer Pike; and eight great-grandchildren, Triston, Bryce, Jaxon, Camden, Lucas, Caroline, Samantha and Riley. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Earl, Joe and Jim Pike. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Dr. Philip Lilly officiating. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park. Condolences may be left for the family at www.Webb-Noonan.com
