She was born in Gadsden, Alabama and was Valedictorian of Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden Alabama. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a major in accounting.
Rhonda will be remembered as a giving and loving wife, mother, aunt and friend who always had others in mind above her own needs.
She was very active in her community: a member of Temple Beth-El synagogue serving on its Board of Directors and the Board of Education, served as treasurer and co-president of Birmingham Hadassah, served on Board of Directors of the Birmingham Jewish Federation, Board of Directors, Vice President and Finance committee of Collat Jewish Family Services.
She volunteered for numerous non-profit organizations, CJFS Cares Program, Magic Moments, B’ham Hospitality Network and Family Promise. Rhonda was also a member of the Alabama Society of CPAs and AICPA.
Rhonda is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Mr. Eric Siegel, their 3 sons, Stuart Siegel (Tran), of Chicago, IL, Philip Siegel of Birmingham, AL and Nathan Siegel of San Diego, CA.
Mrs. Siegel is also survived by her sister, Paula Hodes Ford and brother, Steven Hodes (Kimberly) along with many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Elmwood cemetery at 2:00 on October 24, 2019.
