It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Dauphinee announces his passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Neil’s Harbour, NS on May 30, 1951. He was the son of the late Ronald Joseph Dauphinee and Mary Agatha (Hawley) Dauphinee. Wayne was a retired carpenter with Parks Canada, Cape Breton Highlands National Park. He also spent much of his time completing carpentry projects throughout the community. Wayne was known for his great patience and knowledge of the English language while completing these projects. He was an avid golfer, and member of the Highlands Links Golf Club. Wayne thoroughly enjoyed the high stakes winnings from his golf buddies and was sure to brag about it at every chance. (Unca) Wayne truly loved the time he spent with his special little buddy, Hayden. Wayne is survived by his sister, Agnes, Ingonish Beach; brothers, Brian (Gail) West Paradise, Ronnie, North Sydney, Larry (Sue) Ingonish Beach. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Nick, Dana, Collin, Joseph, Beverly, Kevin, and great niece and nephews, Brianna, Hayden and Sam. A time of visitation will take place from 11 until 1 on Saturday with a Funeral Mass commencing at 1 p.m. all from St. Peter’s Church, Ingonish with Fr. Alphonsus Iwuji officiating.
