Born in Riverton, Utah, EvaJane was the tenth of twelve children born to Daniel Edwin and Mabel Newbold Densley. She graduated from Riverton High School and attended the Stevens Henniger Business College. She later married Dale M. Crosland on March 21, 1950, and lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. EvaJane was a high school secretary and retired from the Granite School District in Salt Lake City. EvaJane and Dale had three children: Kent, Jan, and Alan. The family was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in August 1996. In 2004 EvaJane moved to Tigard, Oregon to live with family. She served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple and later in the Portland temple. EvaJane took up painting in her 80’s, loved to paint landscapes and flowers, and continued painting until just a few months before her passing. She was also an avid bridge card player.
EvaJane was predeceased by her husband Dale, who passed away in December 1996, and by her youngest son Alan Edwin Crosland of Bend, Oregon, in December 2017. She was also the last living sibling in her family. She is survived by her son Kent Dale Crosland of Blackfoot, Idaho, and daughter Jan Valerie Minetto of Tigard, Oregon, ten grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren in Oregon, Utah, Idaho, New Mexico, Washington, Virginia, and Arizona.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 4, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Young’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salt Lake City at a later date.
