Tyler was born April 15, 1984 in Greeley, Colorado. He often joked about people never forgetting his birthday because it’s tax day. He grew up in Kersey, Colorado and lost his mother Sheryl when he was ten years old. Tyler graduated from Platte Valley High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. He grew up as a cowboy, a country boy, participating in team roping as a teen with his father, Bob Lane.
Tyler met his wife, Aimee Edwards, a city girl, in 2007 at Bear’s Sports Bar. They had their first date at the Greeley Stampede July 4th, 2009. Tyler finally proposed to Aimee on April 15, 2015 and they married September 10, 2016, just three years ago. They loved their life together at their home in Greeley with their dogs, Kairi and Roper, and spending time with their many friends. Tyler worked at TMSI.
Tyler will be missed by his parents, Bob and Berta Lane; his step-sister, Brittany Bishop; special niece, Justyce Fredrickson; nephew, Bentley Bishop; as well as Aimee’s extended family and his many friends.
Celebration of life services will be held Friday, November 8 at 11 am at Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tyler’s memory can be made to the Bentley Memorial (c/o Allnutt Macy Chapel) which provides veterinary services in Kersey, Colorado.
