Dave spent several years self-employed with Holiday Builders before working with the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Department, where he retired in 2000. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed camping, RV-ing, traveling and, especially, spending time with family. Since retiring, Dave spent winters in Florida and the last 10 years working at Disney World, where he enjoyed meeting all the different people.
David will be fondly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Bobbi, as well as, his sons, Tom, Carl, Tim (Wendy), Kevin (Linda), Ron (Chris), Mark (Cheryl) and his stepdaughter, Laura. He is also survived by 16 grandkids, 20 great-grandkids, his 3 brothers and 1 sister.
“In our hearts until we meet again.”
Family and friends may be received at Christ the King Catholic Church in Acme on Saturday, November 9 beginning at 10:00 am and are welcome to attend the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, followed by a social gathering and luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated in David’s honor to the Parkinson’s Network North, P.O. Box 5734, Traverse City, MI, 49696.
