Lillian was born in Arlington, VA, second child to the late Jesse and Lois Davis. As a teen, she met the love of her life, the late J. Carl Slade, and they raised a family of four children in Edmondson Heights/Catonsville area of Maryland. Lillian worked on an assembly line during WWII as both her father and husband-to-be were in the service. Lillian was a featured manager and stylist at the Walbrook Salon associated with Adolph's and also worked for many years at Stewart's and Hutzler's as a hairdresser as well as in her home. She later worked part-time in sales at Hutzler's in the lingerie department. However, her best accomplishment is lovingly raising her children and being the absolutely best mom anyone could ask for. She was a fervent admirer of all flowers and gardening, bird watching, an avid Oriole fan and loved family gatherings.
She spent the previous four years at Brightview Senior Living in Westminster to be closer to the three children living in that area and just recently moved to Florida with the eldest daughter.
Lillian is survived by her four children, Gary/Barbara Slade, Kathy/Howard Little, Kelly/Gail Slade, and Chris/Jim Kroneberger. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kim, Adam, Kelly, Katelyn, Jake, Kevin, Morgan and Dylan as well as great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was adored by all.
No events are planned as the family will gather at the gravesite of J. Carl Slade in Maryland to celebrate the life of Lillian. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Tidewell Hospice or the Hospice of your choice or St. Jude's Hospital, one of her favorite charities. The family appreciates your prayers.
