Marla spent the majority of her life in the Yakima Valley. She poured her heart and soul into her family and friends. Everyone close to her felt and knew her love, especially her two sons and grandsons.
Marla was blessed with a creative spirit. She mastered the art of calligraphy, penned the most thoughtful poems, baked amazing cookies like her mother and got lost in imagination with her grandchildren.
Professional development never defined Marla's life, but she took great pride in her rise from para-professional to executive secretary in several school districts over the years. With the support of her husband, she retired to return home and support her aging parents.
Marla fiercely loved her family. She loved her Zags and Seahawks. She loved decorating for holidays, especially Christmas. She loved playing the aggravation board game her father adapted and built from wood.
Marla was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lillian Anton. She was survived by her husband, Michael Wentz, by her sons and their spouses, Scott (Shannon) Sevigny, David (Sherry) Sevigny, by her husband's daughter and spouse, Nickie (Chris) Morrison and by her grandchildren, Hunter and Preston.
