Donna was born in Poole, Kentucky and graduated from Henderson County High School. She went on to obtain a 2 year associate degree at Bowling Green University. After college, Donna worked as a personal assistant and secretary for the President of First National Bank in Henderson.
In 1967 while still in Kentucky, Donna married Ronald Eugene Link and had one son, David Landon Link. Soon after they were transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they had their daughter, Deia Laine Link. The family ultimately resided in Cushing, Oklahoma. Donna moved to Edmond in 1991 where she spent the last 18 years of her life.
Donna was known for her witty sense of humor, her love of all things grand and fabulous and her sincere and loyal traits of a true Leo. She was a real Southern Belle. She was beauty and grace. Her creative abilities were shown best through her love of sewing, silkie blankies especially. She never went anywhere without her red lipstick and the bigger the hat, the better. If the shoe fit, she bought it in every color. “Though she be but little, she is fierce.” To know her was truly a gift.
Donna is survived by her son, David Landon Link and wife Kristi, and her devoted daughter, Deia Laine Crull and former spouse Bob Crull, as well as her 7 grandchildren, Macy, Hannah-Beth, Jackson, Dylan and Jayden Link, Carson and Channing Crull. Also surviving are her two step sons, Greg Link and his wife Lisa, their children Barron and Connor, and Rob Link and wife Cynthia and his daughter Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emalyne and David Duncan, and former spouse, Ron Link.
A casual, come and go celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 1:00 -4:00 p.m. at her daughter’s home: 3125 Cumberland Drive in Edmond.
