Allyce Fontaine Juenke of Spring, Texas and long-time resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, November 5, at the age of sixty-one. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-nine years, Michael Stuart Juenke, her children Nathan Juenke and his husband Joe Adame of Houston, Texas and Lauren Juenke Waters, her husband Blake Waters, and her grand-daughter Caroline Waters of Spring, Texas. She is also survived by her brother Lenhard Fontaine and his wife Chantel Fontaine of Houma, Louisiana and her sister Lillie Fontaine and her wife Sandra Hickman of Twin Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents Lenhard James Fontaine and Joyce Petit Fontaine.
Allyce was a graduate of Nicholls State University, holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She worked for many years as an educator in the Terrebonne Parish School District and held a particular passion for teaching early literacy skills to elementary school students. When the family relocated to Texas in 1999, Allyce taught Catechism at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church and volunteered for the Oak Ridge High School Booster Club. She was also involved in The Woodlands Area Delta Zeta Alumnae Group. Allyce’s greatest triumphs were her relationships and the many hearts she touched. She enjoyed entertaining, cooking, and opening her home to family, friends, and friends of family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Monday, November 11th at Forest Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. The Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Dr. The Woodlands, TX 77381 on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 11:00 am with church visitation at 10:00 AM.
