Johan was born in Queens, New York, on April 20, 1987 and raised in his hometown of Wade County (Miami), Florida. Johan had two siblings, Bryan and the one who he grew up with, his younger brother, Joshua, his pride and joy. He also grew up with his close childhood friends who became family and are here with us today. His love for his mother was unconditional. He loved his uncle Hans, uncle Fester, grandma as well as his childhood friends. He is remembered as a kind, caring, loving and humble soul who liked sparking conversations about topics like sports, fishing, and entrepreneurship. His celebrity-like characteristics made him a very likeable person which made him many new friends everywhere he went. Johan had many skills, some of which were utilizing his hospitality skills to entertain which always made people feel welcomed. He also had a passion for cooking and liked to show off his culinary skills. Johan had a love for food, particularly steak, crab legs and a little sprinkle of cilantro all over the kitchen! Johan also had a passion for basketball and was inspired by his favorite player of all time, Dwayne Wade. For Johan “it’s all about the U”, representing for the Miami Heat, and the Miami Dolphins. Johan loved spending time with his “buddy” Noel which was his dog. He would take him everywhere he could, especially to watch his favorite sports games. Johan shared his life with Yoli, his girlfriend, who he loved dearly, spoke highly of and had plans for a future together.
Family was everything to Johan. There is no doubt that Johan left a mark on everyone he encountered.
