Amalio attended school in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. In 1962, he married Irma Rivera in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. They moved to Johnstown in 1973. He worked at Longmont Foods for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, every Sunday was family day. He will always be remembered by his sense of humor and the love and affection he showed his wife.
Amalio is survived by his wife Irma Garcia of Milliken; his three daughters, Norma (René) Valdez of Longmont, Christina (Juan) Garcia of Longmont, and Rosi (Gabino) Garcia-Macias of Longmont; his three sons, Mario (Stephanie) Garcia of Milliken, Javier Garcia of Milliken, and Luis Garcia of Johnstown. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Telesforo Garcia.
Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 followed by Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. both at Grace Community Church, 2033 W South 1st St, Johnstown. Interment at Johnstown Cemetery, Johnstown.
