Jean Barbara Yeaton, 99, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on November 9, 2019. She was born in Newport, RI to Warren K. and Lottie M. (Saulnier) McClintock. She was predeceased by her only sister, Elizabeth (McClintock) Cole and only brother Warren K. McClintock, Jr. She graduated from Burdett College School of Business in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Jean Yeaton met and married Berton G. Yeaton Sr., a graduate of the General Electric Apprentice Engineering School in Lynn, MA.
She is predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Berton in 2014. She is survived by her son Berton G. Yeaton Jr. (Judith D.) of Jacksonville, FL; her 2 daughters, Judith A. Yeaton and Nancye J. Pierce (C. Lincoln) both of Grand Junction, CO; 4 grandchildren, Berton G. Yeaton III of Goffstown, NH, Diane R. (Yeaton) Davis of Janesville, WI, Sarah (Pierce) Winslow of Boca Raton, FL, and C. Morgan Pierce of Delray, FL; 9 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; at least 4 great-great-great grandchildren.
Jean was a Past Royal Matron of Acacia Court No. 10, Order of the Amaranth, Jacksonville, FL; a Past Worthy Matron of Radiant Chapter No.195, Order of the Eastern Star in Lynn, Mass., now Tontoquon Chapter No. 100, Wakefield Mass.; and Past Worthy High Priestess of Rugged Cross Shrine No. 5, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Boscawen, NH. She was well known as a pianist and played for each of these orders for many years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am December 4, 2019 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 6317 103rd Street, Jacksonville, FL 32210 with interment in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Hillsborough, NH. in the early summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the “ADF Amaranth Diabetes Foundation”, with “Jean Yeaton Memorial” on the memo line, and sent to Acacia Court No. 10, 5917 Old Timuquana Road, Jacksonville 32210; or to Haven Hospice, Jacksonville.
