She was born April 14, 1930 in York Township, PA. Delores was a daughter of the late Paul Henry Sr. and Grace Inners DeHoff. She was also predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Joseph William Harris; a brother, Paul Henry DeHoff, Jr. and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Eugene Holtzapple.
Delores was employed as an associate with LS3P Architect Firm in Charleston, SC for over 44 years. She was a pioneer in the transformation and management of the Charleston City Market during this time. She had an unyielding dedication and commitment to the success of the city market and her LS3P family.
Her interests outside of work were her family, her birth town of Dallastown, PA, and her love of the family Folly Beach house, “Wayward Whims”.
Delores is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bret and Doris Jean Harris of Lexington, SC; two granddaughters, Ashley Harris Todd (Jim) of Laurens, SC, Kathryn Grace Ashcraft (Hayes) of Charlotte, NC; one great granddaughter, Grace Windsor Ashcraft; two brothers, Robert E. DeHoff of Mount Joy, PA and Jeffrey L. DeHoff of Sarasota, FL. Delores had two sisters, Patricia G. Holtzapple of Steilacoom, WA and Ruth Ann DeHoff of Allentown, PA.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2019 at Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery, 2164 Mount Zion Road, Springettsbury, PA, with the Reverend James Polanzke officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 119 N. Church Street, Lexington, SC 29072 or Christ Lutheran Church of Spry (Inners/DeHoff Fund), 2401 S. Queen Street, York, PA 17402.
