Kyu IL Chae, M.D., 93, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on November 16, 2019. Born in South Korea, Dr. Chae moved to Florida in 1977. He was a truly dedicated physician, spent many years as a surgeon treating patients in East Africa and Korea. He was the epitome of a doctor who treated everyone no matter whether they could pay or not. He dedicated the remainder of his professional career treating patients in Florida State facilty for the mentally challenged. He was an avid reader, loved watching all sports and feeding fish. His latest project was to rewrite the dictionary from English to Korean. Dr. Chae is survived by his wife, Jong Sook Chae; daughter, Elizabeth C. Song; sons, Hong Suk (Joanne) Chae, Yoon Suk (Jiyoung) Chae, Kwan Suk (Kyung) Chae and Joon Suk (Eunice) Chae; 8 grandchildren, Jonathan (Brianna), Courtney, Justin, Stacey, Emily, Cameron, Edward, and Michael; and 2 great grandsons, Landon and Kolton.
