BRADLEY—Following a brief illness, Rodney, 78, passed quickly and peacefully November 19, 2019 at St. Joseph’s hospital. He was born October 4, 1941 in Old Town a son of Alphonse and Dorothy (Paradis) Morin.
At a young age, Rodney’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident. He graduated from Old Town High School in 1960 and immediately formed his own corporation. His business vision broadened in many directions, but his most notable accomplishment was the formation of Morin Fuel. His inventive ideas went hand in hand with his entrepreneurial spirit. He knew that there had to be a safer way to operate trucks, so after countless hours in his garage he invented the Pro Chock Wheel System. Rodney was a hardworking, strong and honest man with vision who never let obstacles get in the way of his goals.
In his spare time, he enjoyed time with family and friends, having good conversation coffee or lunch. It was these conversations where ideas about solving all the world’s problems were shared. He was always there to lend a helping hand, looking out for his community by supporting many local charities and organizations
He is survived by two daughters; Lisa and her husband Nathaniel, Melanie and her partner Toby, grandchildren; Ezra, Jasper, Greyson and Aura; sister Shirley, her husband John; special friend Margaret; his Morin Fuel crew Chuck, Tyler and Brandie and countless special friends.
He was predeceased by his sister Janet, Uncle Walter and several best friends.
At his request there will be no services at this time.
