Sam enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles; he was an avid fan of Elvis and Johnny Cash as well as the TV shows, Colombo and Matlock. He had a green thumb when it came to gardening; he loved getting his hands into the dirt. Always with a smile on his face, he was always found making people laugh and feel welcome whenever around him.
